Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative Outcome Development, Evaluation, and Monitoring Plan
Finch Network completed a preliminary set of outcomes to create key points of inquiry for City Harvest’s Healthy Neighborhood Initiative (HNI). The preliminary outcomes established the basis for Finch Network to complete a thorough evaluation of HNI’s multi-program, multi-neighborhood initiative. The evaluation included a mixed-methodology approach including program participant surveys, neighborhood surveys, stakeholder interviews, focus groups, program observations, and secondary data.
Finch Network facilitated a series of meetings, surveyed staff, board, and community members and conducted interviews with CCE stakeholders to determine where the two organizations might be able to collaborate and share resources. Finch coordinated a series of issue-based (resources, marketing, and technology) Team meetings held with staff and board members to discuss organizational strengths and opportunities which resulted in a Collaboration Conference where each Team presented a slate of recommendations.
In 2013 and 2015, Finch Network worked with NCAVI board and staff members to develop a strategic plan for the organization.
Finch Network worked with AMRA to develop a five-year strategic plan for the Association.
Finch Network conducted a community perception study for Adirondack Health to assist the organization and Boire and Benner to gain a better understanding of assets, challenges, and opportunities facing the hospital. Finch Network also led the community engagement activities for BBG’s Marketing Campaign for the City of Plattsburgh’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI).
Finch Network works with the City of Plattsburgh’s Community Development Office on grant applications and community planning initiatives.
Finch Network has secured funding from Empire State Development, New York State Parks, Recreation and Preservation, NYS Dept. of State, and the Affordable Housing Corporation.
In 2016, Finch Network wrote a successful Consolidated Funding application that secured $1.2 million for a collaborative waterfront project between Watkins Glen and Montour Falls. In 2017, Finch Network facilitated a workshop for local nonprofits, businesses, and municipalities to plan for the upcoming CFA season.
In 2015, Finch Network conducted a strategic planning process to develop a five-year plan for the organization.
Finch Network wrote 2 consolidated funding applications for GSNENY for the 2018 New York State round of funding.
Finch Network is working with the Town and City to conduct a community-wide survey to assess its recreation programs, identify barriers to participation, and help define a vision for the next five years.
Finch Network has been working with CVTM since 2011. Projects we’ve done for the museum include: a strategic plan, coordinating the Snowball Festival, grant writing, fund development, and drafting policy and procedures for the museum.
In 2011, Finch Network was hired to develop a five- year strategic plan for CCCCNC. Finch worked with CCCCNC’s Strategic Planning Committee to develop goals for the process and from these goals, Finch designed and disseminated a survey to key stakeholders, conducted interviews with key stakeholders, and facilitated a day-long conference with CCCCNC staff and board. From this material, Finch developed a final report which included: market analysis and needs statement, a summary of the strategic planning process, a five-year strategic plan, and outcome models for CCCCNC’s programs.
